Saturday, December 11, 2010

i'm going to be in a two man show this february alongside my good friend and badass artist Richard Salcido at Silver Queen Fine Art in Park City, UT. this will be our third year in a row. every year has been better than the last. unfortunately i wasn't present for the last one due to a blizzard here in NY. we will definitely be there this year. Richard did the postcard for the show. i think it looks great! most of the work i've been posting are for this show. if you're in the area come down and say hi. hope to see you there!

flores chiquitas

started these flowers last night. i've had the background for a while but have been waiting to paint the right imagery on it. i like the organic movement and didn't want to do anything that would obstruct or lose the quality too much. i decided to go small and concentrated, so far.

pic from last nights session.

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

sketched in some orchids on a dark blueish gray background with a white pencil.
i wondered if i reversed the image in photoshop it would
turn out like a graphite drawing?
the results: yup.
the reason: just because
the outcome: neato
