In the studio

This is what's happening in the studio right now. I'm working on three 36x36 canvases. I really love this size. My landscapes are starting to take a direction that's more abstract. I am having a great time exploring the possibilities during the process. I am finally letting go of some mental baggage that has held me back from "just doing it". Funny as it seems, It can actually be a bitch doing so. I think many artists can agree. Anyway, this is where they are now. We'll see where they go.

oh yeah, the red on the bottom piece is more burnt sienna than red and the color is a bit washed out. whatever, you get the idea.........

Frank; Love the larger size as well.
Glad to see you are getting a grip on your "mental baggage". Everyone has tons. Make it work for you. Look forward to seeing how your landscapes progress. OK, so that isn't red in that scape, but it sure looks like a bit of ....., for me anyways....

Your work is looking great. Note, "mental baggage" has a way of circling back, so be prepared to kick it's butt again and send it on it's way.

Hey thanks guys! yeah, sometimes there are moments where i hold myself back for no reason. anyway, if art was too easy it wouldn't be worth doing!
