THIS is fantastic!!!! I love your work. I found out about you through Salcido's blog. I own 18 of his paintings and I'll be flying out to the show in Utah you guys have coming up. I won't introduce myself as the writer of this because that's not my style but you to are a great pair. It's strange but although your work is completely different from Salcido"s work they are unified in some strange marriage of sorts. I will be purchasing at least one of yours. The work is vibrant, loose, alive and if this makes sense, true. Like Richard's work there's an honesty in your work. He paints women although through his comic bookish view he finds a way to paint women like no other man has found a way to paint them. At least to me in anyway. I think his paintings say something about women in general and the scratches about life and aging in someone's life. When I look at your work (and maybe I'm crazy because only you know) your birds to me say something about the fleeting nature of life and all it's beauty. Ok this is long and probably sounds like a nutty person but I'm not I'm just passionate about a few artist. You are going into my budding collection. Ok I have to tell you my collection now because I want you to know who you'll be with. I own 1 Damien Hirst, 3 Mark Ryden's, 2 Blaine Fontana's, 1 REAL screenprint on canvas, not a poster or anything Warhol, 1 Frank Auerbach, 2 Melissa Haslam's, 18 Salcido's (I'm getting them while they're cheap), and now I want some of yours. I believe in your work and I thank your friend Richard for introducing me to your work. You have what it takes to make it big. Although if you and Salcido are actually friends you should make some work together, oh and make some short runs of prints as well. Ok! I went on way too long and if Salcido reads this and I hope he doesn't he'll know who I am. So in the end your work is great, great, great, great, great and needs to be seen by more.
