work in progress Amur Falcon
working on this Amur Falcon at the moment. I started it on Friday. I'm pressed for time so we'll see how far I can get today!
now and up next
this past Friday was the last day to view Curioso at Thinkspace Gallery. the feedback was awesome! A huge thank you to the people that came out and supported! I'm truly humbled.
Back at the studio, i'm gearing up for a solo show this month at Silver Queen Fine Art in Park City, UT titled Modus Operandi on the 13th. I've done 5- 12x2 and 5- 10x10 sized works so far. I still have a couple more in progress.

post show
i'm still feeling the momentum from Curioso at Thinkspace Gallery. firstly, it was absolutely needed for me to get out. it noticed i was in a certain mindset that was stressing me out and didn't feel all there. its amazing what we manifest by just thoughts. i visited my brother from another mother Richard Salcido in San Diego and finally met his beautiful daughter. we had a great time. Richard and I text all the time showing each other what we're working on, but it was good to see his amazing work in person and chop it up like the old days.
the show itself was wonderful. the turn out was a full house and energetic. it was a real pleasure to finally meet gallery owners Andrew and his wife Shawn in person. coolest peoples and a very easy going attitude. three works sold so far. the show is up until the end of the month. you can view the works HERE.
it was also a pleasure to meet the other exhibiting artists Jeremy Hush, Glenn Arthur and Erik Siador as well. unfortunately Lindsey Carr couldn't make it, but her work is stunning in person. overall it was a great time and wonderful opportunity. seeing all your hard work come to fruition is a beautiful experience and rewarding. you can view pics of the opening night HERE.
now that i'm back and refreshed i'm already making new strides everyday. my mantra: the power of thought is how we manifest our reality, our thoughts become things. let's make things happen!

Curioso this Saturday.
Three person show at Thinkspace Gallery this Saturday! I'm really excited for this show, plus I'll be in attendance. I could use the trip. There's an awesome full page ad in the current issue of Juxtapoz magazine. Go get one! The issue features a tribute to the Beastie Boys. WOOOOORD!
The gallery also put out a great write up about all three artists written by Marieke Treilhard.

Awesomeness for hire!
Well folks, the time has come to put out some good energy and see what comes back. I'm currently looking for part time employment to help supplement some income while I pursue a career as a full time artist. All potential employers are welcome to contact me with offers.
Most of my experience has been in the art field in sales and behind the scenes for over 10 years. In this day and age it doesn't seem too unconventional to blog or use the internet as a tool for self promotion. Life is an adventure and one must use whatever tools at their disposal in order to get where they want to go. So I'm putting out the bat signal, universe. As Joseph Campbell says: when you are on your path, doors will open where there never doors before.
Here I am.
I will gladly provide a resume upon request. Potential prospects can contact me at: frankigonz@yahoo.com
